Procedures to follow to establish wild farms, zoos, as well as ranches of wildlife.

1) Establishment of wildlife farms, wildlife zoo and wildlife ranch guided by regulations known as Wildlife conservation (Management of captive facility) Regulation of 2020. Rule 6 of regulations that defines the following characteristics so that one can set up wildlife sanctuaries, wildlife gardens as well as wildlife ranches. i. The applicant must have land ownership (land title deeds). Ka ma is forighner the land acquisition process will follow the normal investment procedure from tanzania investment center (TIC) ii. Be a Tanzanian, for foreigners they should join Tanzanians in investment to form a Corporate company where the share should be at least 51% for Tanzanians and the rest is foreign. iii. Applications for the establishment of wildlife farms, wildlife gardens, and wildlife ranches should be in line with the local land use plan. iv. Prepare a business plan (Busness plan) showing the realities of investment implementation) v. Have a certificate of environmental impact assessment based on the type of animals he or she wants to keep. vi. The applicant should be prepared with the identification of the animals he will keep, i.e. microchip or mark vii. Pay the registration fee viii. The applicant must have followed any other rules (required) ix. Follow other guidelines from the director of wildlife. Along with registration The applicant will be required to have a Trophy dealer's license depending on the type of business he wants to do which is grade 17 is for wildlife gardens, 18 is for wildlife farms and 20 is for NB wildlife ranches.
