KISARAWE DISTRICT COUNCIL HOLDS WORKSHOP FOR DEVELOPMENT STAKEHOLDERS.
Today Tuesday 15/12/2020, Kisarawe District Council held a working session involving various development stakeholders, to discuss the priorities of the Council's Plan and Budget for the financial year 2021/2022 as well as stakeholder contributions in contributing to the priorities of the Plan and The budget, the session was held at the Council Conference Hall located in Bomani Street, Kisarawe Ward, Coast Region.
The session was opened by the Guest of Honor Hon. Jokate Mwegelo for welcoming members to the working session. The Executive Director of Kisarawe District Council, Ndg. Mussa Gama, who was the Chairperson of the session called on the delegates to participate fearlessly in the session to bring development to the people of Kisarawe and the nation as a whole.
Ms. Jokate began by welcoming all stakeholders who attended the session, and offered his advice including emphasizing the management of sexual harassment issues for women and children.
He also emphasized the need for corporate governance, and all non-governmental organizations to provide early reporting so that they can better co-operate in their operations.
In addition, Ndg. Mwanana Msumi, Kisarawe District Administrative Secretary called on organizations and institutions cooperating with the Councils to provide co-operation, and communication which is a good tool in the implementation of various factors that lead to the well-being of the Council and the nation as a whole.
The Chairman of Kisarawe District Council, Ndg. Zuberi Kizwezwe thanked all institutions and organizations for providing advice and suggestions, also appealed to those institutions and organizations to continue to help the community, and endure all challenges in collaboration with the Council.
Along with that, Drs. Casian, who is the Kisarawe District Livestock and Fisheries Officer, cautioned stakeholders who attended the session to educate the community about protecting children against untreated rabies, and its vaccines are very expensive where they lead to serious side effects. communities including people losing their lives.
Also, Ms. Jesca Petro, a member of Plan International-Kisarawe NGO, promised that the institute would continue to provide services to the community including the construction of toilets, classrooms and wells, as well as child protection training in various wards in the district.
